Come and listen to The Magic of True Hifi.
We will be showing two new speakers from Axisvoicebox. The first is the Axisvoicebox Extended Bass System (EBS), and the second is the Axisvoicebox FLS. In both cases it will be the first time they have ever been heard in public anywhere. John Reilly of Axisvoicebox will be attending the show, as will Ian Robinson (REDGUM Audio). We are keeping our fingers crossed in the hope that Ian will bring his new DAC along with him.
Our somewhat cheeky tagline for the show is The Magic of True Hifi. The word true refers to the original intent of sound recording and reproduction, which is to capture the sound of an event at a location so that anyone who was not there can playback the recording so as to get a sense of what it might have been like if present in person.
You must come and listen for yourself how well recorded sound is reproduced by the combination of REDGUM DAC and amp, and Axisvoicebox S and EBS. The combination is so good that a local professional classical musician proclaimed herself blown away because all the instruments sound so real. It’s almost like being there! She has very kindly (and enthusiastically) agreed to be our True Hifi Ambassador.
